Some nice things that people have said
The Financial Times
"Benjamin Chandler, as the sisters’ brother Andrey, and Francesca Burgoyne, as his wife Natasha, trace their journeys subtly — he fading from promising student to miserable, disillusioned local councillor, she blossoming from awkward incomer to imperious opportunist: the moment when she callously dismisses the old nanny is shocking."
“Jessica, perhaps unfairly dubbed the stupid one, delights as the spoilt heiress who can’t quite take the escapade seriously. Francesca Burgoyne nails it, winning both frustration and warmth from the audience.”
“As Ariadne, Francesca Burgoyne sails into the comedy, exuding Edwardian vanity, and yet the ruthlessness with which she destroys her ineffectual husband is brutal.”
The Independent Critic
"Francesca Burgoyne is mesmerizing as the E.M.U., an artificial presence brought vividly to artificial life in a way that is quietly vulnerable yet bathed in a tranquility and soft sensuality"
"Passionate and fiercely intelligent ... Francesca Burgoyne was utterly captivating as the embittered Orsina"
DAY OF THE DOG
"Burgoyne gives a remarkable impersonation of a young girl, finding a combination of gaucheness and innocent energetic enthusiasm in her body language and handling of text that is very endearing"
